Dear QRL team and longtime hodlers: I'm sure there is still serious work to be done, but it sounds like we're getting close to mainnet. I think you all deserve many a frosty beer and a pat on the back. I hate to be a nag, but I can't stop thinking about something -- the Quantum Resistant Tokens (QRTs) that it will be possible to create on the QRL blockchain platform. The discussion in the Final Countdown and QRT FAQ on the website is sparse. I think quanta has the potential to be a significant store of value in the longterm, but I do hope the team is giving serious consideration to how QRTs play into driving value for QRL/Quanta holders in the near term. ERC20s are the main reason ETH mooned last year, but ETH lacked quality control. IMO, platforms like NEO are doing a better job of onboarding new tokens in a principled fashion, but they're no QRL of course. I understand from prior posts, that the team intends to charge transfer fees for QRTs in Quanta. Fantastic! But I'm still reminded of the crude saying, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk free?" I just can't get over the idea of other projects being able to jump on board the world's first operational blockchain with significant quantum resistance having to pay any upfront fees in quanta. To that end, I would love to see the team charge an upfront fee for the creation of any QRTs. What happens to that fee you ask? I'd suggest the quanta either go to the QRL Foundation to fund the continued maintenance of the project/network or be burned, thereby creating a deflationary force and driving up token value. Either way, quanta holders/users would realize significant value, and it helps prevent a bunch of crap tokens being created willy nilly. Ok, I've said my peace, what do you all think? Obviously, these numbers are based on current prices and could be adjusted late (just like Binance had to do with listing fees when BNB's rocketed).
