https://www.facebook.com/CitizensActionTeam I understand mugshots/info posted in newspapers but Facebook? I knew my mugshot had been posted for a while, in March.. I was aware of the post within 24 hrs of it being put in public. Long story short, I'm only 20.. I was drinking hard alcohol to the point of extreme intoxication being an alcoholic. Blacking out was my go-to for most things I didn't want to "deal" with sober. I hated myself after getting myself out of a toxic on/off drug binge fueled relationship that lasted no more than 7 weeks until I went broke supporting both of our habits. Anyways, I was drinking alone in my house when my window breaks.. he had been harassing/threatening me via text off. I jumped to the conclusion it was him. I emptied a full clip of a handgun in the general direction I thought he was in. Turns out it was my brother who broke my window. 2 people had already called 911 reporting my gunshots. In that moment I knew I was fucked... My drunk ass panicked thinking I could get away with jumping a fence to hide in my neighbors yard. I chilled in the dirt for a few mins before hopping back over with my hands up towards the responding officer. Fast forward a few months I got over my obsessive desire to get drunk all the time. I felt ready to check out the mugshot in hopes of allowing myself try to make light of it instead of being as upset as I was about my mugshot existing on a public Facebook page. Having acquaintance's asking about the mugshot they saw posted publicly of me without my permission made me feel a little humiliated. Not only is there a picture of me on one of the top worst days of my life but the admin welcome's leaked information such as names or profiles in the comments/description or both. Admin went out of their way to block me after posting my mugshot/info. The only way I can view it is through a screenshot or through my boyfriend's phone. I asked several people to visit the page's URL, they were able to view the post so it's kind of obvious they blocked my account. I was kinda baffled they actually went out of their way to have me blocked taken care of... for what reason?? I wonder if admin realizes or even give's a fuck about how offensive this page is to some people. There's a picture of someone who died a year ago still uploaded with his profile/info in the comments... The fact that this page continues to exists has been bothering me to the point of wanting to do something about it. Disrespectful as fuck, it's not right. I'm genuinely curious to read everyone's opinion's, a solid discussion wouldn't hurt but i'm honestly kind of desperate for input of any kind at this point.
