With February in the books it's time to select a player of the month, for this one I thought it would be a good idea to pick 1 player from each of the top 5 teams, this will change as the season progresses and teams come in and out of form. * **Jack Byrne** - Has started the season with real purpose this year capping it off with an assist/goal in the big game against Dundalk. * **Patrick Hoban** - Hoban continues to prove that he is one of the best goal scorers in the league with 3 goals in 4 games. * **Kris Twardek** - Bohs fans have been full of praise for their new lively winger who topped off his great start with a goal against his former club Sligo. * **Gary Deegan** - Has returned to the LOI after a decade in the UK and by all accounts has been the driving force in this Shels young squad captaining the team to 2 wins out of the opening 3. * **Walter Figueira** - Recently signed from Waterford the Londoner has had a good start to his Derry City career by salvaging a point with a last minute assist against Finn Harps and grabbing a goal against Bohs. Don't be afraid to add some honorable mentions in the comments i.e Graham Burke with a 5 goal salvo against Cork.
