I'm just wondering how many of you have engineering portfolios. Merriam-Webster defines a "portfolio" as:
>5: a selection of a student's work (such as papers and tests) compiled over a period of time and used for assessing performance or progress
So, it doesn't matter if your portfolio is a PowerPoint slideshow or a website, as long as your work is on display in an organized manner (i.e. having loose assignments lying around in a folder is NOT a portfolio).
Follow-up question: Do you think that having your portfolio has helped you in job/grad school applications? Why or why not?
Your vote: No
