I'm planning to start my PhD this summer and looking for topics... So far there is either object detection OR audio detection. I feel more inclined to the audio detection project, but I then have to work with a colleague (sensor data expert), that is not nice to work with (won't go into details). On the other hand however, the colleague (another PhD student) in the object detection field is a really cool guy, always trying to help, and works together (instead of just delegating stuff). So, what is more important in your eyes? To have a more interesting topic, or the right setup and team?
