Trying to brainstorm effective rhetorical/legal terminology ways to bridge the pro-gun/anti-gun divide re: VA bills. I strongly oppose items like magazine capacity limit, AWB, which I don't think protect people and unfairly subject them to risk by limiting options for protection.
As description says: what name do you think best communicates that AR's and similar are legitimate options for protecting self and family in the home? What option do you think actually comes across as I sincere name? The term "assault weapon" really is not helping make this discussion very honest right now...
Please keep discussion civil and feel free to change my mind or try to if you disagree on something or take issue with post/poll: looking for civil discourse here. Please be respectfully aware that I do believe AR's should be legal and my mind won't be changed on that, but I do welcome your feedback on what people think about them based on what they're called and as long as your comments are non-hostile, I'm happy you're here. Thanks in advance!
