Guardians, over the past year we have seen three constants in Destiny: Criticism, Response, and Change. The Criticism is ever-present and harsh. Responses can be vague, but other times spot-on. Change happens. Sometimes the change is welcome, sometimes the change is long overdue, and sometimes the change totally f***s up your weapon loadout, but we can all agree that the game has evolved (and will continue to) as the input of players like you and I help to guide that change. Unfortunately, opinions are scattered and my needs are not your needs and there are so many threads and topics and various complaints out there that it can be hard to really QUANTIFY what the Destiny fan-base REALLY wants to see if they’re going to keep dumping time into the game. Well look no further! – behold THE DESTINY WISHLIST POLL – a compilation of common complaints/requests/suggestions, edited at intervals to include YOUR ideas and input to include all of those things that we want to see in the game, and what can be one of our best collective mouthpieces to Bungie. Yes I’m aware of Bungie’s own Community Wish list, but we’ve seen precious little progress on that, and more voices in one central place are always good. I also understand that there will be some (at times considerable) overlap between this and the Community Wish list, but this poll serves to quantify the desire for those wishes, and maybe refresh on looking devs about the topics that the players truly care about. If you don’t see a vote-able item that you believe should be included, comment! The idea behind this poll is purely constructive, a place for players to vote their interests and maybe see their biggest issues rectified by a company that seems to desperately value input (this is a good thing). Note: due to the recent announced 2.0 weapon tweaks, weapon rebalancing wishes will be suspended until the real effect of the changes is realized. Just recently we saw one of our own (congrats Cozmo) hired by Bungie as Community Manager. Bungie cares about us, whether you believe it or not. Now, I’m more hopeful than ever. I’m seeing a new era of cooperation between the players and devs. The clouds will part and Bungie will reach down there gilded hand and leaf through each of our minute concerns – changes will come in droves – every Tuesday! – and together we will steer our custom-built starships over the mercurial cloudscapes of Saturn. OK not really but this is worth a try dammit. Let’s mold the universe! TL;DR – As a community it is our job to let Bungie know what they can do to keep us happy - and above all else, playing their game! Vote on your most wanted improvements to Destiny. Items will be added according to public opinion / weekly updates / world changes / personal whim / etc.
