As a new family doctor, I just finished replying to a patient visiting overseas needing/requesting her medical summary. Of course this took me awhile since the request came in out of office hours. I wish this was something she had come to me to prepare earlier! I would like to ask Reddit a few questions: 1. Is this something that's crossed your mind before, and what can us doctors do to prompt our patients? 2. Has having this information come in useful for you before? Would love to hear some stories to help convince my patients!
