For the longest term, climate scientists have been warning that climate change and sea-level rise threatens islands such as the Maldives and Vanuatu. Now Vanuatu has been devastated by extreme weather, and it seems certain that climate change in responsible[1]. Should those who allowed this disaster be held to account?
