This question has come up a few times, more specifically some users feel /r/autism is mostly for parents of children with autism and others feel it is more suited for autistics. Personally I think the community has done an excellent job at facilitating both but I can sympathize with people who may be hesitant to post something. Please note if a majority feel like a new subreddit would be helpful the subreddit would need to be open to both people on the spectrum and parents of people on the spectrum, it would only be a separation of content.
