When I arrived in St Louis, I had never heard of the riot in E St Louis in 1917.
I did hear of it from other residents not long after living here, but really never had that much understanding of the sheer viciousness of the mob.
Since we are discussing people's awareness of the riot here, I was wondering just how much awareness readers of this subreddit had of the riot.
(I would expect it to be higher than the general population of the region, but maybe not since there are more transplants in this forum than typically live here.)
