Last week in the Despair arc, the first killing game and the beginning of the Tragedy happened. Despite everyone's predictions, Chiaki managed not to get involved with all that, and is still alive. With the next episode of Side:Despair coming up soon, I'd like to get some opinions on one of the big mysteries of the arc: the fate of Chiaki Nanami. Will she survive the Tragedy? Or will she get killed by Junko or Izuru in order to drive her classmates into despair? Or, even more despairingly, will Chiaki fall into despair herself and become a Remnant? Since Class 77 still needs to fall into Junko's clutches, I think Chiaki's fate will be addressed in Episode 8 of the despair arc. Unless she falls into despair too, I don't see how Junko can corrupt them with Chiaki still around. Be sure to leave your opinions on what you think will happen in the comments.
