Over the years we have gotten many requests and complaints regarding the tag system that we use but we really didn't have any good alternative until now.
For those who don't know, Reddit clients can be divided into 6 groups:
New Reddit
Old Reddit
The Official Reddit Android App
The Official iOS Reddit App
3rd Party Apps
Reddit Mobile Site
With New Reddit, there was an option that would require a user to choose a flair before posting and this feature was recently brought to the Reddit for Android app. [A few days ago, this feature was brought to Old Reddit. iOS support and 3rd Party App support is planned for the future.](https://reddit.com/r/modnews/comments/fah9mc/post_requirements_post_flair_support_on_old/)
The Reddit for iOS App and many modern 3rd Party Apps support flairing posts. So until Reddit rolls this feature out to these platforms, we would have Automod notify a user if their post isn't flaired (this would only happen if you posted from a client that didn't support this new feature) and tell them they have 5 minutes (which is plenty of time as it only takes seconds) to flair their post or risk it getting removed.

#Now the reason we are bringing this to a vote:
Older 3rd Party Apps such as Alien Blue and Narwhal don't support post flairing as well as Reddit's mobile site. **This means if we were to turn this feature on, the older 3rd party apps and the mobile site would no longer be able to be to post to r/jailbreak** (along with many subreddits in the future as more adopt the use of this feature). That being said, for anyone who still uses these clients, it's not like they don't have a choice. For those using the mobile site and insist on using a browser, they can use the desktop site from mobile to post if it's needed. For those using older 3rd party apps, they can switch to a newer one such as Apollo or use Reddit's Official App.
Your vote: Replace the [Tag] system but lockout a small percentage of people from posting on their current client
