I just was curious of various opinions on this subject. If anyone can think of any case studies for it, please let me know as I've had personal situations with trolling and have my own opinions on how to stand up to it, but I see nearly zero academic sources explaining it that well, much less agreeing anywhere near my opinion, even though I believe it's a lot more popular strategy than many academics may think. My personal opinion is to get a bit of a creative humorous side but if needed, sink to the level of a troll or lower so you hold up the ugly mirror and the likeliness of them giving up, imo, is much higher. Feel free to leave thoughts and such with any answer selected.
