Travellers of Reddit, is travelling with your medical summary something that's crossed your mind before, and what can doctors do to prompt our patients?

As a new family doctor, I had to reply yesterday to a patient visiting overseas needing/requesting her medical summary. Of course this took me awhile since the request came in out of office hours. I just wish this was something she had come to me to prepare earlier.
