Anybody who likes games and/or Sci-fi would like a whole complex living breathing universe to play around in. But is it possible to atually build one? Yes, pretty much anything is possible to do in software development with unlimited time/resources, but like any project considering the dilemma of the iron triangle maybe Star Citizen can not be done at all? The debates online are pretty toxic and I am not a hater of any kind but the insane quality that is promised sounds to me like it is going to take 20 years costing like half a billion. But who the fuck am I? I am a junior software engineer working with C++ at a company that provides/develops has a massive system with its beginning in the 80s. So I know some about C++ and big system development. But I don't know game development and I am posting this poll here to perhaps get the input of the ppl that do. Please comment, motivate your answer and enlighten me. Thanks!
