I've built a forged 350 for my amateur time attack car, aiming for power about 550/500 hp/tq, intentions were to boost it with my M122 supercharger remotely-mounted (I've built the mount for it already). Problems are - I've run into a space issue to a strut tower (I need to modify aka cut the strut mount some) and even then it's tight but doable. These blowers can do about 650hp before needing major work.
Second option is a pair of new GM4 (51T-32) turbochargers I have. Highest power potential around 750hp. Less body cutting, more exhaust work but less weirdness and more easy to make the power goals. Would be a problem for my built Super T10 at higher boost. Also doesn't make the whine of a supercharger which may or may not be bad.
Third option is an older Paxton Novi 1000 I got for a song. Easiest to package and make brackets for, I have to make a smaller 10-rib pulley to get the rpms up. Lower power potential of around 500hp, can be upgraded to the Novi 2000 with a new wheel and machining. Least amount of strain on my transmission.
I'd like to hear anyone's opinions, there could very well be something I'm overlooking.
