I've worked at almost 10 different companies of all shapes and sizes, but this is a first for me. I thought they just needed some time to sort things out, but now I think they just are not going to give anyone job descriptions, just titles. I have a role operating between the CTO and engineering staff, and I literally had to go around to staff and have them tell me what my job is, not surprisingly, they do not all agree. It has already caused an issue or two, but they keep saying "you must have come from 'a very different environment'" somewhat disparagingly. Anyone have similar stories? Am I really the one with abnormal expectations?
