Gwent has always had the best in class card art and animations, but they seem to be investing more and more resources into these 3D leader models. To me it's like I've been going to my favorite steakhouse for 2 years and then they add some mediocre pizza to the menu they keep trying to sell me. I mean, that's not why I went there! I can only imagine it's because CDPR feels like they need more cosmetics to monetize the game, but these are not the cosmetics I want from Gwent. I would love a system with alternate card arts, maybe if CDPR is worried about new player confusion there can be a setting where players can choose to see only opponent's base art. I'm sure that's a lot easier to implement than all these new models. But still, new arts, triptychs, new animations, card backs... these are all exciting to me and I've heard a lot of excitement in the community for them. But as much as much as I'd like Svalblob's model to be improved I don't want to pay for it. However, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's a good idea and just the execution has been poor. If CDPR stepped up their 3D model game, is there a community out there that wants it?
