It always bothered me that I could drink out of the ocean in ARK. However, the more I think about it, the more I've come to believe that the "oceans" in ARK could actually be fresh-water. Not only can we drink from it, but almost all of the ARK sea creatures could live fresh water: Coals Salmon Piranha Dolphins Sharks Eels Jelly Fish Mosasaurus (is a lizard, could live on land) Plesiosaurs (some fossil remains suggest fresh-water adaptation) etc, etc. Tusoteuthis is a notable exception, because most cephalopods can't live in fresh water, but who's to say that this breed wasn't modified by the aliens to swim in ARK's water? So what do you guys think? Are ARK's "oceans" salty or fresh?
