Pick 1.
Curious as to where people rank these two Mets starting pitchers, relative to each other and the league in general
In a league with my brother I drafted Harvey at #73, intending to draft deGrom soon thereafter, but my brother sniped me. My own fault for getting greedy with ADP predictions...he knew I wanted deGrom...
I recently offered Harvey for deGrom straight up and he declined, which prompted me to make this poll.
I think both are excellent pitchers this year. [Preseason I predicted deGrom would flirt with top 10 production](http://www.reddit.com/r/fantasybaseball/comments/2wu588/jacob_degrom_fearless_forecast_top_10_fantasy_sp/).
Harvey, as we all know, used to be an Ace, and looks to be returning to form, post Tommy John. However, in 2015 he will likely be on some sort of innings limit, versus deGrom have a higher chance to log more innings.
So far in 2015:
Harvey: 3.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 12.00 k/9, 2.33 FIP, 2.07 xFIP, 1.97 SIERA
deGrom: 0.93 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 7.91 k/9, 2.43 FIP, 3.14 xFIP, 3.24 SIERA
Their best seasons:
Harvey (2013): 2.27 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 9.64 k/9, 2.00 FIP, 2.63 xFIP, 2.63 SIERA
deGrom (2014): 2.69 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 9.24 k/9, 2.67 FIP, 3.03 xFIP, 3.19 SIERA
Both look great. It's a good time to be a Mets fan. I'm not ordinarily one, but my interests are tied to theirs because I bet $150 on the over on 82.5 wins in Vegas.
Anyways, I'm rolling with deGrom eeking out Harvey this year. What's your pick?
Your vote: Matt Harvey
