People have been questioning whether or not Simmons and Embiid could coexist before Simmons played his first NBA game. Three years later, the Sixers seem no closer to creating a roster that optimizes the two of them. There are three main options for the Sixers: Keep both and make moves at the margins to fill out the roster; trade Simmons and build around Embiid; or trade Embiid and build around Simmons.
