After hearing about the recent and tragic incident in Clemens hall on North campus along with how the Clemens staircase is a somewhat "popular" suicide location (I don't know the stats, don't @me). I feel that it's in the university's best interest to construct a pillar that goes from the floor to the ceiling of the building through the center of the staircase. It's a simple solution to a problem that shouldn't exist, and it's a small price to pay for the university to potentially save lives.
