[The symbols](https://i.imgur.com/RxIHjc2.jpg) painted onto the sidewalk every hundred feet or so indicate that bikes should ride on the left, leaving the right side open for pedestrians headed in either direction. However, nearly every cyclist I see on it seems to stick to the pedestrian lane, using the bike lane only to weave around pedestrians.
I'm assuming this is people applying the right lane = travel lane, left lane = passing lane logic to the bridge, but the signage would seem to indicate that this is contrary to the intent.
When crossing the Hawthorne bridge, which side do you ride on?
