I’ve never bothered botting and although the lure of near-unlimited gold is very appealing, I wouldn’t risk my account being banned for anything. And that’s the choice for me - would I risk my WoW account? Simple answer is no. I guess you could pay a second (and, well, upto six) sub and only bot on that one, but I’d still be way too scared of somehow accidentally getting my main/actual account banned - either through blizzard recognising dodgy software on my computer or noticing me transferring gold to my main account. No thank you, I enjoy WoW Classic too much to risk it!
However, there must be some people who either know how to practically guarantee they won’t be caught, or simply don’t mind the risk.
Maybe you already know how to bot - although I wouldn’t trust random free .exe files found on forums through google, but maybe you actually know somebody else who bots and could get you into it - but choose not to. So their answer to my question is obviously ‘no.’
But I’d bet there are people out there who wish they knew how to bot, and would have no problem leaving their computer on all day, botting away - levelling up time 60 and then eventually running Strat endlessly - and would definitely answer ‘yes.’
I mean I don’t even know if that’s how botting works? Maybe you level up normally and then use your level 60 to bot dungeons? Yikes. I definitely would not risk that!
I don’t wanna promote botting in any way, so please be careful with comments, but I think it would be safer for people to be allowed to ask questions and get answers than googling it and comprising their computers/accounts.
Your vote: No I would not bot
