Amendment (insert number) The Maryland House of Delegates shall elect the Governor of the state in a two round vote. The first vote comprising of all the candidates and if no candidate shall reach a vote of fifty percent plus one, they shall hold a second vote between the two candidates who received the most votes, the candidate who receives the most vote in the next election shall become governor. The votes shall be held in the first week of the legislative session. The Maryland senate shall elected the lieutenant governor in the same manner as the house of delegates elects the governor.
