When it comes to massive-scale updates, there are two that crop up constantly: increasing the scope of the game, and either reducing or getting rid of the "game tick" system. First, please understand this is purely hypothetical and Jagex has stressed that both of these require such massive time and resource commitments that they're almost certainly not going to happen. However, I'm curious. Which would you prefer? Here's a little description of each:
The scope: With many different modes of quick transportation, Gielinor has been feeling smaller and smaller. Some suggest, in order to combat this, the game should increase in scope, making cities larger and the distance between areas longer.
Game Ticks: Runescape is controlled in increments of 0.6 seconds, so there is a certain amount of lag between every click you make and the result. This would be fixed by removing or reducing these ticks, allowing for increased mobility for players.
Which would you rather see?
