How often should a new thread be made? Our community has gotten more active recently, and the weekly threads started getting pretty full. So I set the default comment sort to new so people would always see the new posts first. That's been working well. After the Christmas holidays ended, I got lazy and forgot to turn it off the daily threads, but there wasn't many complaints so I kept it going. The cons to doing dailies is that people are less likely to check yesterdays thread, and the subreddit is spammed with threads every day (though it's a constant spam over letting people post 0-4 text posts every day).
