Hi guys,
I was thinking about cases when RIOT has been using community feedback.
Sometimes, this feedback is used well, bringing good change to the game, but sometimes they either totally fail to answer to what we want or they do something good. But just not enough.
I was having a look at some particular cases that have happend in the past, that I considered to be good or bad examples, and I would like to know if the rest of the community agrees with my own perception. Here they are;
Case 1: The Return of SoloQ
After the controversy of Dynamic Queue in 2016 and after a lot of feedback from the community, RIOT brought us back the Solo/Due Rank system, along with Felx for those who did enjoy DynamicQ.
Would you agree that this was a good thing?
Case 2: /Remake
After many games lost due to AFKs from minute 1 and having to buy many new keyboards after smashing them. RIOT introduced the /Remake function in game, which allows to protect your hard earned LP.
While perhaps it is not perfect would you consider this function a good thing?
Case 3: The new cursor
The UI of league has improved a lot with the years, and some people asked for a new cursor which RIOT provided us with (F for the old gauntlet).
However, some people liked the old version and asked to have it as a legacy option. RIOT conceeded the point and in patch 9.15 RIOT gave us the option to have the legacy cursor, but announced that they will eventually remove it.
In my opinion, RIOT is just keeping it to keep us quiet for a while, and eventually they will force their view over what at least part of the community.
Would you agree that this was a bad thing?
Thank you for your input.
Also, If you have any cases where you think that RIOT has used our feedback in a good or a bad way, please share it in the comments!
