If you believe one or more of the Ramseys Did It, then you probably believe there was some "staging" involved. Certain things were done to the body after death, to cover up what had really happened. There was tape on Jonbenet's mouth, there was a cord tied around her wrists (though it was tied quite loosely and wouldn't have restricted her movement). There was a ransom note for a financially-motivated kidnapping that never happened. Her genitals were thoroughly wiped clean, and she had been redressed, possibly in new underwear. There were, according to this theory, two distinct parts to this crime. The pre-staging period, in which somebody harmed Jonbenet, for whatever reason. Then the staging period, in which somebody tried to make her death appear like something it was not. Some people think there may even have been more than one "staging". This poll focuses on the three major injuries: head-injury, strangulation, and sexual assault. The question is: Which of these injuries do you believe had been inflicted on the victim BEFORE any kind of "staging" began? Note: I have said "strangulation", this does not necessarily mean "strangulation with the garrote", it could refer to a prior strangulation if you believe that was the case.
