I've been browsing this forum for a while, and have gotten really curious what the actual statistics are regarding who gets motion sick in VR and who doesn't. It seems like the majority don't, but I am wondering if that is just a vocal minority expressing frustration, where as those that do get it usually just stay quiet (and sad). I keep thinking I've conquered my VR sickness that I get with free movement, but some days I try and get it instantly again. It seems almost random for me. So I want to see if we could get a better picture of it here. I have a hunch that VR sickness is a big barrier of entry for the mass market. A friend of mine is a hardcore gamer as well and got a PSVR day one. He got sick right away, even in games without locomotion, so he returned his PSVR the next day and never looked back. And I keep seeing post on here about people trying their friends and them getting sick and not buying into the PSVR. I just hope that a solution will get developed in the future to help combat this in a way that everyone can enjoy full locomotion in VR. Because without that, VR will just continue to be a niche thing with a small community and filled with small games (not a bad thing, but I want more games like Skyrim one day).
