So based upon a recent post and discussion, I wanted to take a poll.
Lets say that you are playing in 1 game for your club championship. It comes down to 1 last throw that your opponent is making with the hammer in the last end.
During the course of play, you are confident that your opponent made a technical rule violation. The effect of this illegal act is small, but by the rule book, you are entitled to place rocks.
Now for the finite details.
*Your opponent does not call the violation.
* If you move the rocks, you will win the club championship.
* If you don't move the rocks, you will lose the championship.
* There is no scientific way to know the effect of the small illegal act, you are left to rely on your gut instinct.
* Your gut tells you that it is slightly more likely that not that the illegal act effects the game (lets call it 51%).
* Your brain tells you that if you call out the act and move the rocks, you will become the villain, because it is such as close call that you would be hard pressed to truly defend your actions. But keep in mind, that your gut feeling was that it did effect the outcome.
What do you do?
Your vote: Cal out the violation, move the rocks, take the championship, knowing that people will say you made a bad call to win.
