The context for this question is a game Im designing that has 5 rounds of scoring within a common range of approximately 4-16 points per round, pretty much bell curved around 10 points. The problem that hidden scoring would solve for this game is that going into the last round, if you are more than 10 points behind, it is highly probable that you cant win, diminishing your engagement for the entire last round. Im aware that some people are really against hidden scoring. Id like to determine roughly what that percentage is. . And if you feel strongly one way or the other, why exactly?
