For consensus' sake, I'll go ahead and make a poll.
COA of all of these schools factoring living is pretty much the same and pretty cheap.
I'm not too attached to my goals as I know they are subject to change, but I would love to work one day in an AUSA's office. Big Law/FC is a good way into those spots, but I also know it is not super uncommon for someone from a prosecutor's office to go.
W&M: I like the Big Law/FC placement, the relative portability compared to the other two schools, and relative *feel* I get from this school. It is also pretty cool that the VA bar is reciprocal with a lot of other schools in the country. I hesitate because I've never been to Williamsburg, and I'm worried about going crazy in the woods.
Wake Forest: 90 - person class size is what stands out to me. Less competition for...I guess everything and more attention from professors. North Carolina is great, but I'm worried about getting edged out by UNC grads. I was also a little turned off by the fact that while all of Wake's peer schools moved back the deposit deadline, Wake Forest held firm (though they did work with me on the amount). Wake Forest does have a reputation for litigation, which is what I think I want to do. I think I'd be fine in Winston-Salem, but I also have 0 idea, as I've never been.
UGA: I am super impressed by how *together* the school feels. Well-funded, and super well-regarded, but I am scared of being in Georgia forever (I have never been). I also have no clue about it's reciprocity. I have heard amazing things about Athens and I think I would like it and it's very low cost of living.
Thank u.
