As XR begins planning for 2020 and beyond, an important consideration is "how much time do we have?" Obviously if extinction is only looming around 2100 or beyond, then the tactics are very different from if we only have ten years or less before we are all history. So it would be irrational to plan for actions that are not compatible with the expectations of the majority.
