This sub could be better. We all care about the game, and the community that has organized around the game. Unfortunately this sub lets the players and the game down through ineffective and apathetic mod behaviour. There are 8 mods on this sub and half are not even remotely active, let alone have any posts whatsoever in their entire time as a Reddit user. Their karma is abysmal – 5 of the 8 mods have karma less than 400; only one mod is above 3000.
Regarding the enforcement of rules, these rules are constantly broken and not enforced:
1. Bragging rights – we see loads of screenshots of average play spamming the feed on a constant basis.
3. Ship is on fire – shaming of players and consoles has a constant presence
4. There’s a Megathread for that! – I remember there were far more sub-threads than the solitary one that exists now. Perhaps this rule needs to be removed, or a re-jig on the focus of the sub pointing players to these threads?
You may agree with me there is something seriously wrong with this sub. u/RowanHKC mentioned in another recent sub regarding Quartermasters that the mods wanted to improve the sub. I would start with leadership. If something is not working, it is *always* the fault of leadership. If the leadership cannot improve the sub through their own contributions, then I suggest new leadership is required. I move for a vote of no-confidence in the mods of this sub.
