This is more of a rant, about how i feel about things but i still see what's happening as an issue.
I grew up in the 2000s, just towards the end of what i call Disney's "Golden Years" before they started full 3D animating movies, and still had some of the classics out there. So it's possible i'm somewhat biased, but i think that we should not Subscribe to Disney's upcoming stream service.
Now i'm going to speak somewhat frankly: Disney was better before you streamed movies. The DVDs were the best way to get them, I mean nothing was better in my day than going to a blockbuster and selecting the movies we wanted. It may be the nostalgia talking but Disney is starting to lose it's way with how it's doing things.
Those who mess with Disney are now dealt with in a very un-Disney-like way, be it from lawsuits that are never allowed to have the outcome shown, to controlling about 50% of companies and services that are used to stream. Disney could take over the world and we wouldn't know it till it was too late.
Disney soon won't be allowing anybody to have a good childhood that consisted of the one i had: watching the classics and not having to need wifi to watch a movie. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney bought Spektrum, and then forced us to pay more for wifi that can only be used to stream Disney's Content. Disney is one of the most powerful companies in the world, personally i don't want to live in a world controlled by one nongovernmental company, because then we wont have freedom to let our coming generation have a good childhood.
I'm sure to get a lot of flack for this post but who cares, i'm screenshotting it and i will repost regardless of however many times it gets dragged down in the case that Disney grows a pair and tries to stop a worthwhile movement.
Don't buy into Disney's streaming service, keep what made our generation strong and creative and unspoiled.
