**There was a mistake in the title the first time this was posted so I made a new one. Those votes will not be counted towards the total so if you voted in the other poll please vote again.** As the community has grown, we've had many requests from users to make user flair a requirement. With the increased traffic to the sub, fewer users are adding user flair and are relying on the "default flair" that is automatically assigned when a user subscribes to r/AskALiberal. As some have mentioned, this makes it difficult for others to know where the other person might be coming from. While we welcome anyone of all political ideologies to respond to posts, it makes it difficult for posters to know when a responder is actually answering their question based on generally held liberal ideals. Having said that, we're proposing a change that would require users to have a user flair. If a user comments without a flair the comment will be removed by the AutoMod until the user has a flair. From there they would be welcome to repost their comment or we could approve the removed comment. For reference, this is how the AutoMod works for brand new/throwaway accounts. Those with custom flairs would be able to keep their flair in this proposed change. Only the votes cast through this poll will be counted towards the decision made; however, if you would like to leave an argument for or against below, it will be taken into consideration.
