Canada's current laws regarding sexual assault include "unwanted touching" as one category, a category that constitutes roughly 70% of all assault accusations being made. While unwanted touching can be a violation, there are forms of it that are not intentionally harmful. There are also men and women who fumble socially on occasion. Should we put unwanted touching in its own category as a lesser offence or should we continue classifying it as sexual assault?
