This seems to be the source of a lot of debate and a little rancor on the board lately, especially with Civil War approaching. There has been a lot of discussion about whether Agents of Shield should have a movie cameo/crossover. Some people feel that the movies are fine without them. Some people think that AoS doesn't need one. Other feel it would be too confusing for the audience or too difficult for the studio to arrange. On the other side, people feel like they were promised a connected universe that was not a reality. Some people feel like the lack of acknowledgment by the movies of the world-changing events on Agents of Shield is senseless and damages both the movies and the show. Both Screen Junkies and Adult Swim have made fun of the increasing lack of any major superheros in the show and threads regarding possible crossovers are still very popular.
