I've been experimenting with various combinations of botanicals/supplements/OTC ingredients/etc for about 3 years now, pretty much just taking anything that showed efficacy for hair loss and adding it to alcohol+PG in different combinations and ratios. I feel like I've stumbled onto a particular cocktail that's powerfully effective, but as I said in the topic, it's a dayglo yellow-orange solution that can stain fabrics and paint if you're not careful (I accidentally turned part of the wall by my bed yellow before I realized what a problem it was).
I actually suspect the color/staining issue is part of why nobody has marketed something with these particular ingredients (despite the fact they're all-natural, have no discernible side-effects, and their efficacy is documented in peer-reviewed public journal articles). I'm contemplating trying to recruit some people for an ad-hoc trial of sorts, giving out free bottles to anyone willing to let me use their before/after photos. The color isn't much of an issue if you're willing to wear a shower cap (or something similar) to bed at night and wash the stuff out in the morning. I'm personally seeing enough improvement in my hair to justify the hassle, but I'm trying to get a better idea of whether other guys would put up with it.
