Socii Sociaeque,
A number of you recently expressed interest in a reading circle hosted by the subreddit. This poll is to gauge interest in various texts. I've selected a number of different genres. You MAY select multiple options, so if you would be happy to read a number of these, please indicate so. My idea is to wait a week or so, then do a runoff vote where we eliminate the lowest performers.
I would appreciate it if only people who are 50%+ confident that they will participate 50%+ of the time vote. I think it's important to give the people who actually use the reading circle the most voting power.
The choices:
1. Seneca the Younger, selected letters on Stoicism and education
2. Vergil, Aeneid, one book
3. Augustine, Confessiones, one book
4. Horace, selected odes
5. Erasmus, Iulius Exclusus (a satire based on Seneca's Apocolocyntosis)
6. Cicero, an oration
