I love her, because... 1. She is one of the main Mario cast who has the most actual character and it's a fun characterization. She is this kind regal ruler who is actually not all that regal, though she is good at putting on a front when her duty calls. In reality she is exasperated by being constantly kidnapped and having to "be" the princess. She's fairly intelligent but can be blinded by the glamour of things she likes and she has a strong temper that seeps out a lot. Watching her in cutscenes usually ranges from adorable to hilarious especially in text heavier games. She is also in general more immediately heroic than the other characters. 2. She has a very unique power set that has made her very fun to play as. In platformers her float gives you so much more freedom of movement for fun tricks. In RPGs she is generally one of the most powerful characters. Loaded with potent healing magic (or other kinds of magic), weapons that tend to lean more on raw power, and generally high defensive capabilities. Like in SPM she is completely invincible with her umbrella shield and in Rabbids she has massive HP and constant healing capability. In smash/sports games she tends to be technical style character. Basically playing Peach is just always a good time and thus I do so whenever I get the chance. 3. Unlike most female characters Peach has worn numerous hats and done them all well. She started out as a damsel in distress but has been a potent support character, a playable main character in just about every spin off, party member or guest party member in rpgs, and had her own game where she was the star. (A game where she could turn into living fireball that made earthquakes by jumping, create endless water and run at super high speeds, turn into a mini-tornado and fly, regenerate her health, armed her with an umbrella that she was able to use as a sword and fire charged energy blasts out like mega man). Basically if there is a role in gaming Peach has done it at least once, she's even been a semi final boss albeit she wasn't the one in control of her body. While at the end of the day Peach will always be the "damsel in distress" at her core as that was what she was designed for. They've branched out many times to let her be more than that and made her own of the most fun and unique characters in the Mario series. She is very cute, hot, and underrated too which is a plus to me.
