Alfie has been having chronic clear nasal discharge, weeping out his eyes when eating and a sinus infection. Because we couldn't think of a better use for $1500, Alfie went to the vet school to have his nose & sinuses scoped, CT scan done of his head and biopsies of his mucosa.
Good news is that it isn't brain fluid leaking out but instead Alfie has a deviated septum. (well, and they suspect he has Idiopathic lymphoplasmacytic rhinitis - inflammatory condition of his mucosa ). They couldn't tell if the deviation is congenital or due to injury. Possible. Alfie isn't a risk taker but his nose is waaaaay out there. It's also not unusual, after the muzzle dramatically lengthens around 11-12 weeks, for a collie pup to whack his nose before he figures out the new end point.
A friend pointed out that a deviated septum are often used as an excuse for a nose job and this is an opportunity to give Alfie a new look.
Made me think of a "Holly the Collie" cartoon where she's trying different plastic surgery nose cards:

What do you think - would Alfie https://imgur.com/a/4kkxU6J look better with:
a pert Chihuahua nose? https://imgur.com/a/snGWnjw
a noble GSD nose? https://imgur.com/a/TfoGu8p
the Shar Pei? (would need to get lip filler): https://imgur.com/a/aTamuVD
Maybe it's not long enough and we should go with the Borzoi? https://imgur.com/a/F5lGkYi
The American Bully? (he'd need to get cheek & muscle implants to complete the look): https://imgur.com/a/NnJNEgH
The Lassie? https://imgur.com/a/VIBRLxL
(I couldn't include a brachycephalic nose even as a joke)
(and first time doing a poll, so not sure if I can make it work the ~~first~~ second time)
