Earlier today, I saw a heavily upvoted drawing of a [redacted] leviathan, marked “No Spoilers” as I think it ought to be. It’s not hard to come across the [redacted] leviathan, and in any case, you’re asking for trouble if you come to a subreddit dedicated to a 1.5 year old game and seeing a picture of a thing that pops up as the FOURTH result on google images for “Subnautica” ruins the experience.
I think some things related to lore and endgame exploration, sure, put that as spoiler warnings. But pictures? The things that get people excited to play games? I mean surely a massive alien fish monster is going to be what draws you into the game, and diluting the subreddit with spoiler tags gives anyone taking a cursory glance nothing to work with at all. I mean, come on. Nobody seems to have any idea what a spoiler is; is a picture of a peeper a spoiler? What about the Andromeda? Forget about both of those things being on the store page, that’s still a spoiler right? /s
Hopefully this tool thing works. I want to know; do we as a community think pictures of the leviathans count as spoilers? I mean, do they reeeeally?
