I'm just creating a little poll to satisfy my own curiosity. I've been lurking in this sub for the past few weeks and like others, have no doubt seen the posts speaking about game viewership, game comparisons etc.
As anecdotal as it is, I've noticed that I play LoR in small bursts but play it multiple times per day, this I attribute to the game feeling like a "slow burn" due to how the turn system limits how quickly rounds can pass and how any interaction with the enemy, tends to result in longer game times than those found in say HS.
Admittedly, the only card game I played before was HS, therefore it is my only point of comparison, however in my time with that game, I noticed that when I played it, I played in larger bursts, however suffered from major burnout or downtime after every period, this period would usually be like a week of just constant grinding (I mean HS on PC, HS on mobile, HS at home, HS at school). With LoR, although I don't play as much in the short term, I have noticed that I've managed to just stay engaged over a longer period of time with the game, likely in exchange for having less game time/count compared to HS.
How does my little curiosity and anecdotal observation relate to viewership and popularity etc? Well I just thought "What if due to the very design of the game being a "slow burn", it limits its viewership/content creator potential?" I wanted to see if others interact with the game on the same level, is it the game design that purposefully makes me have a difference in total engagement? Or is it that my personal preference is making me burnout in one versus the other, even though I think I gave both games an equal shot?
TL:DR - Do others play LoR similarly to me? i.e. short bursts with multiple short break intervals between, while still retaining engagement to the game throughout the period. Or, do other play LoR different to me? i.e. long burst with long break intervals between, eventually being burnt out of the game before playing it once again a long time after. Or maybe it's a mix of both?
Maybe you even stopped playing the game totally and this poll doesn't apply to you any more, that's fine, just select any option that did apply to you when you played for your short stay in the game.
This is all a poll made to satisfy my personal curiosity though, you don't need to answer it too seriously.
