Should we have an in-game map with GPS, a static map, or no map at all? I'm for having a static map, but without a GPS or location indicator which would make it so you must learn your way around the world and towns. Old games not having a world map really would immerse me and still even to this day, 15 years later I could make the trek from Tethelin to Freeport (EQOA), Bastok to Jeuno (FFXI), or Darnassus to Stormwind (WoW). While in FFXIV I would never be able to get from Gridania to Mordhona without a map or teleports. Though I understand people will just look at map up online, I did the equivalent back then by buying a guide for EQOA and Vanilla WoW had a map in game as well but no character indicator or GPS, which I think is the perfect medium. What are your thoughts?
