Thought it might be "fun" to ask this question. 100 years from now, imagine a historian / AI / slime mold / whatever looking back on the past 100 years, and creating a graph of the number of human beings on earth over these past 100 years.
This graph could have a variety of shapes. For example, from today's starting point (about 7.6ish billion people), the population could continue to growh and so the graph would go straight up for the next 100 years. Or it could stabilize around 12 billion as some population models predict. Or go to zero in case of total collapse. Or go down to some level and stabilize there, in case of some version of collapse that is not total.
