Hi all, my buddy and I each ordered a copy of Catan Starfarers (in the US), and both were received with damage. In my friend's case, the corner of the box was crushed, as we're the edges of two or three board pieces. He decided it wasn't enough to return it. In my case, I have a crushed box edge, and it looks like someone drove a pencil through the front of the box. This didn't occur during shipping, the outer box was fine, and the top was covered in bubble wrap. I haven't opened it to inspect further, as Barnes & Noble requires shrink wrapped items to remain in the shrink to return. Hopefully I can get a pristine copy next time.
As I recall, the corner of the copy I saw at my FLGS was also munged a bit. I'm wondering what's the frequency of damaged copies in North America. If you live in North America, please vote - was your copy damaged on receipt?
