I appreciate the fact that Houston has a team and a stadium downtown. We are primed for success on paper, but ever since the Beckham era our ownership has been stuck in MLS 1.0 and we have struggled. The owners did not bring us a team because they are nice people. They are making a shit ton of money. They gave us a hot as hell convection oven of a stadium and then they put 3rd tier players on and expect us to be happy. We have 12-14 really good players. Being cheap as shit with the rest of the roster is costing us on the road and now at home. Keep international scouting the same, but spend more for rotation players. Picking up free transfers and paying them $5 sounds like a good idea until we need them. Our halftime shows are ridiculously stupid most of the time, it’s hot as hell in the stadium, expensive to eat and drink, and frustrating as hell to watch us lose with garbage players. Spend our money or sell to an oil tycoon or the rockets and let us win.
